This might be helpfull if you want to prevent students from using facebook in school and colleges or your employees in office. If you are parent and don't want you child to use facebook or any other particular site then follow simple steps given below. So lets get started.

How To Block Facebook ?
1. Go to Start - Programmes - Accesories
2. Then Right click on Notepad and Run it as administrator.
3. Now open host file by clicking on File - Open and locate to following address

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

4. Then just below # 127.0.0.1 localhost paste folowing code

# Blocking Facebook
127.0.0.1 login.facebook.com
127.0.0.1 www.facebook.com
127.0.0.1 apps.facebook.com
127.0.0.1 blog.facebook.com

5. Now save the host file and done.
6. Open any browser and try to open facebook. It won't open. If facebook opens then you might have done somthing wrong.

Blocking Other Website

If you want to block website other then facebook then change facebook address with whatever website you want to block. For example: to block google paste following code below

Google turns 15 today and is celebrating its birthday with a doodle - an interactive Mexican pinata that releases virtual sweets when whacked.

Google has also created "Google in 1998," where surfers can get to see the 'classic' look for the search results page - the way the page looked when it was launched.
The company took journalists on a tour of where it all started -- Susan Wojcicki's garage in Menlo Park, California, where Larry Page and Sergey Brin began working on Google in 1998. Ms Wojcicki is currently a Google vice president.

A Google+ page meanwhile included a photo album of the original home search page, and collected dozens of birthday wishes.

But Google, which has grown into one of the world's biggest companies, was not content to just look at the past. It announced an upgrade to its main search engine, with new ways to integrate its use across different devices.

The overhauled search algorithm, the foundation of the Internet's dominant search engine, the company says will cope better with the longer, more complex queries it has been getting from Web users.

Amit Singhal, senior vice president of search, told reporters on Thursday that the company introduced its latest "Hummingbird" algorithm about a month ago and that it currently affects 90 percent of worldwide searches via Google.

Mr Singhal said the change includes "a simpler, more unified design on mobile devices."

"You'll also notice a new look and feel for Google Search and ads on your phones and tablets. It's cleaner and simpler, optimized for touch, with results clustered on cards so you can focus on the answers you're looking for," he added.

Blogger is the most popular blogging platform has updated its default comment box design with new look and more simple. Blogger did not announced about this change officially on the web and I noticed this change in my blog today. It is automatically rolled out for Blogger blogs so you need not change anything in code or settings.

The new comment box for blogs updated with new design including Publish button, Preview button, Sign out button and Notify me option. "Notify me" option lets you to get comment updates and replies to your mail directly.
